The Bildeston Crown is a 15th century former coaching inn, set in a Suffolk village, owned by a local farmerbusinessman and managed by Chris and Hayley Lee. The restaurant is one of only two in Suffolk with AA 3 rosettes and the hotel, with its 12 luxury en suite doubletwin bedrooms, is rated AA 3 stars. Locally sourced produce is used whenever possible including Red Poll beef and lamb from the owners' neighbouring farm. Accolades include Taste of England Gold in the 2010 tourism awards and representing Suffolk in The Hairy Bikers' Tour of Britain 2009. Bildeston is located in the heart of Suffolk's picturesque countryside, close to the wool towns of Hadleigh and Lavenham and perfectly placed for visiting the Dedham Vale and Constable Country, Gainsborough's birthplace Sudbury and historic Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich,

Travelling by Rail:The closest train stations to Bildeston are Manningtree, Stowmarket, Ipswich and Colchester. All are on the main line from London Liverpool Street Station with regular trains throughout the day.Travelling by car:Bildeston is only about 10 minutes driving (on the A1141B115) from Hadleigh. Hadleigh is about a 25 minute easy drive from both Colchester (on the A12) and Ipswich (on the A1071).
